SAFEGAURDING

The welfare and protection of each child is paramount and as part of our safeguarding children strategy, LLF requires those working in any voluntary roles and working with vulnerable groups, including children are required to pass a criminal records check. This is in line with legislation and government guidance and is standard practice.

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is the new government service which replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).

Each LLF League has a dedicated Welfare Officer, their reponsabilities includes being the first point of call following and concerns of safegaurding or child welfare issues. Further external resources and links on this page will give you guidance in reporting any concerns.
